“Hidden Figures” Film Screening to Celebrate Black History Month – February 2018

In celebration of Black History Month, Berkeley Lab’s Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Office and African-American Employee Resource Group (ERG) will be screening the film “Hidden Figures”:

  • Tuesday, February 20th from 11:00 am – 1:15 p.m. @ JGI – Conf Rm 149A
  • Wednesday, February 21st from 11:30 am – 1:30 pm @ JBEI – Seminar A/B (Building 978, Rooms 4132-4134)
  • Monday, February 26, 2018 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. @ Hill – B50 Auditorium

“Hidden Figures” tells the incredible untold story of Katherine Jonson (Taraji P. Henson), Dorothy Vaughan (Octavia Spencer), and Mary Jackson (Janelle Monae) – brilliant African-American women working at NASA who served as the brains behind the launch into orbit of astronaut John Glenn, a stunning achievement that turned around the Space Race.  The visionary trio crossed all gender and racial line and inspired generations.
