14 Honorees to be Recognized on Nov. 18th at “Women @ The Lab” Reception

16-HR-2216_w@L_poster_r8-1Berkeley Lab is proud to honor 14 women and their achievements at the second Women @ The Lab” reception on Wednesday, November 18, 2015 from 3:30-5:00 p.m. in the Cafeteria Dining Hall.  Join us as we highlight these remarkable women in STEM and Operations who are an extraordinary part of our laboratory community!

The Women @ The Lab website is available for visitors to view the profiles of our honorees, to learn more about how they became interested in a career in STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) or Operations, and to find out what inspires them about their work at Berkeley Lab.

Labwide employee nominations were requested in August 2015 under the following categories:

  • Postdoctoral Fellow
  • Early/Mid-Career Scientist or Engineer
  • Senior Scientists or Engineer
  • Operations Professional
  • Administrative Professional
  • Technician

  1. This notice in Today at Berkeley Lab and the linked website should have said how these women were chosen for these awards out of all the women who work at LBNL. Did they have to write essays? Submit resumes? Were they interviewed? Who were the judges? What were the criteria? In other words, make this a complete news story.

    Also, the abbreviation STEM is not explained in the notice or on the website.
