Dear Berkeley Lab Community,
I’m pleased to announce the start of the 2017 Berkeley Lab SHARES charitable giving campaign. The Berkeley Lab Shares website has information about participating charities and the different ways Berkeley Lab employees can donate. For example, you may select from the list of participating organizations or designate any 501(c)3 organization to receive your contribution through payroll deduction. You also have the option to make one-off donations directly by visiting the websites of your preferred charities.
Please note that contributions via payroll deduction are not pre-tax deductions, and that the Lab does not offer to match donations. The deadline to complete the form to opt in for payroll contributions to your designated charities is Tuesday, Nov. 14, 2017.
The 2017 Berkeley Lab Shares site will remain live after the November 14deadline to those seeking information about charitable organizations.
Workplace giving is one of the most cost-effective ways to support charities. Your donations, along with the millions of other Americans who participate in similar campaigns, are crucial to keeping these valuable programs alive. Thank you for your generosity.
