Dawn Robinson, a steering committee member of the African American Employee Resource Group (AAERG) and Kelly Perce, an IDEA Office program manager, met on Friday, January 29th to hang the Black History Month banner near Blackberry Gate.
Black History Month is an annual celebration of achievements by African Americans and a time for recognizing the central role of blacks in U.S. history. Since 1976, every U.S. president has officially designated the month of February as Black History Month.
