Nuclear Science Day Volunteering
We will be celebrating our 10th annual Nuclear Science Day for Scouts event at Berkeley Lab on Saturday, February 27, 2021. This virtual event is designed for Girl Scouts and BSA youths in grades 8 or higher to learn about nuclear science. The event will run from ~9:00 am to ~1:00 pm.

We are looking for volunteers to:
Help with the activities on the day of the event (8)
Building the atomic model – the Scouts will build nucleons (neutrons, protons) with quarks (nuudles). They will then combine the nucleons to form the hydrogen, deuterium and tritium nuclei. The model will complete with an electron. The volunteers will inspect the build model, collect questions in the room or in the chat box and answering them, and to take the attendance of the scouts.
Building an electroscope – the Scouts will build an electroscope. The volunteers will help inspect the built electroscope, collect questions in the room or in the chat box and answering them, and to take the attendance of the scouts
