Computing Sciences Hosts August 1 Student Poster Session

The Computing Sciences Summer Student program hosts a poster session on Thursday, August 1, from 10 a.m. to noon, in 3101 Wang Hall. Students mentored by researchers in the Computing Sciences Area will showcase their work and hone their presentation skills. Over 40 posters will be on display. More>>

Call for 2019 CUCSA Nominations

Berkeley Lab is seeking a new delegate to serve a two-year term on the Council of UC Staff Assemblies. This assignment is effective August 1 and the delegate will attend quarterly meetings September 2019 through June 2021. The application deadline is July 24. More>>

Judges Needed for August 10 Student Poster Competition

Volunteer judges are needed for Biotech Partners’ poster competition on August 10, 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., at Berkeley High School. Science expertise is not required. Volunteers should contact Biotech Partners’ Linda Gayden (lgayden@biotechpartners.org) by Wednesday, July 24. More>>

High School Teachers, Students Attend Physics Workshop

The Physics Division hosted its 13th “Physics In and Through Cosmology” workshop for high school physics teachers and students, June 24-28 at Berkeley Lab. Thirty-eight students and 12 teachers participated in the workshop, which included presentations on particle physics and cosmology. More>>
