The K-12 team at Berkeley Lab will work with mentors to provide projects for students during summer 2021. Those who are interested in mentoring will be expected to take part in mentor training and additional meetings to help prepare for working with students.
When: Summer (late June – July) – virtual projects
What: Berkeley Lab will host several high school students from various programs in the East Bay Area next summer. Internships will focus on project based learning and mentors will work with the K-12 team to provide projects. Projects will be conducted virtually.
How: Berkeley Lab will be working with YouthWorks offices in the Bay Area to become a worksite for summer 2021. Students will be able to apply through their city of residence and rank possible projects. All projects must be completed virtually due to COVID restrictions. Mentors should be prepared to support a two (2) students per project.
