The Lab is collaborating with local organizations to host a family STEM event celebrating Earth Day on April 22. Volunteers are needed to lead either a DIY fossil or bean germination activity for the event. Advance training will be provided.
We’re hosting a family STEM event with MLK Elementary School on Thursday, April 22 (Earth Day) in partnership with Scientific Adventures for Girls and Community Resources for Science. Volunteers will be leading simple Earth Day themed activities in 15 minute break-out rooms.
There will be two assemblies (both groups will do the same activities):
Assembly #1: 10am-10:45am for K-2 and families
Assembly #2: 11am-11:45am for grades 3-5 and families
We will be having a training session before the event so the volunteers are familiarized with the activities and prepped to work with both/either age groups.
