As a longtime WSEC member, her clear and thoughtful voice has made major contributions to WSEC priorities and policies. Jackie is a computer science engineer in the IT division and a Women@TheLab honoree in 2018. Jackie’s curiosity on how copy machines kept track of information started her off in the computer field, led to a computer science degree at Cal State Hayward, and to the Lab. She has been a career employee at LBNL since 1996, mostly in the IT division. Throughout her career, she has played a vital role in developing, deploying, and operationally supporting scientific computing resources. She has also been part of the National Energy Research and Scientific Computing program for six years. Jackie is a founding member of the Lab’s African American Employee Resource Group, a member of the Women Scientists and Engineers Council, a Diversity Advisory Board member where she served as a Task Force Chair for the Strategic Communications group, and a Professional Mentor for the IIE Techwomen program.
