Berkeley Lab

Lab Staff Invited to Annual WSEC Networking Forum on Feb. 5th

All Lab employees are welcome to attend a special lunchtime event: Berkeley Lab’s Women Scientists and Engineers Council (WSEC) will be hosting its Annual Networking Forum on Monday, February 5th, from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. in Perseverance Hall. Click the image on the right to view the flyer.

This event will provide attendees an opportunity to informally network with senior leadership and scientific staff from across the Lab. Additionally, this year’s program will feature guest speaker Natalie Roe, Ph.D., Physics Division Director and one of the founders of WSEC. Dr. Roe will share her experiences (from being a Lab postdoc in 1989, to her appointment as Division Director in 2012), and provide her perspective on the experiences of women scientists and engineers at the Lab over the years.

WSEC will provide finger foods, a hot cocoa bar, and a raffle for some fun prizes. No cost to attend, however, please register in advance to attend. RSVP is required by Friday, January 26th: please click here to RSVP.

This event is sponsored by WSEC, Deputy Lab Director Horst Simon, and Human Resources (Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Office). The WSEC works in partnership with senior leaders, staff, and HR to determine priorities and develop strategies for empowering and advancing the careers of women scientists and engineers at the Lab.
