In addition to improving the Lab’s overall veteran programs, the event objective is to encourage Areas and Divisions to consider the veteran population within their outreach, diversity, and inclusion strategy and efforts.

Veteran Employee Resource Group (VERG) Update – Rich Celestre, Principal Scientific Engineering Associate in ALS and VERG Chair; and Jason Bush, Information Technology and VERG Co-Chair
A presentation of best practices will include what other companies and national laboratories are doing, as well as information on how to become certified for the “Veterans at Work” program for hiring managers, supervisors, and HR professionals: you will learn the value that skilled veterans bring to the civilian workplace; and demonstrate your commitment to attract, hire, and retain these talented professionals. The certification can also be included in your performance review goals and accomplishments.
This event is co-hosted by the Veteran Employee Resource Group (VERG), Human Resources, and the DEI Office. For questions, please email Kelly Johnson: knjohnson@lbl.gov.
