Onsite Sexual Violence and Sexual Harassment Prevention Training on April 18

about-imgBerkeley Lab’s Diversity and Inclusion Office will be hosting an onsite Sexual Violence and Sexual Harassment Prevention Training on Monday, April 18th, from 10am-12pm, in Building 50 Auditorium.  The onsite training is a learning-based interactive way to complete your training requirement.  Our facilitator, Life Theatre Services, will perform a series of short “plays” that illustrate work-related case scenarios that contain all the complexities inherent in these types of situations.  You will be required to stay the full two hours in order to receive course credit.  A sign-in sheet will be available at the end of the course.

*** REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED *** for full credit.  Please click HERE.

This training is open to all employees at the Lab (not affiliates).  While this two-hour training is intended for supervisors and managers, non-supervisors are welcome to participate in this training.  Attending this training meets UCOP policy requirements for non-supervisors.

For more information about UC policy, and California law AB1825 requiring mandatory sexual harassment prevention education for all supervisory employees, please visit our website: http://diversity.lbl.gov/dio/sexual-harassment-prevention/.

  1. This announcement includes jargon to the point of pure blither: “The onsite training is a learning-based interactive way to complete your training requirement.” Isn’t all training “learning-based”? Isn’t “interactive” just a hype word for “talking with the presenters”?
