In accordance with the Presidential Proclamation recognizing LGBT Pride Month 2016, the Lambda Alliance is hosting the Lab’s first LGBTQ Pride Networking Event on Thursday, June 23, 2016. The event will be held in Wang Hall in Building 59, Room 3101 starting at 5:00 p.m., and is open to all Berkeley Lab employees, including allies. This will be a catered event with refreshments and snacks. Please RSVP to attend – click here.
The Lambda Alliance is hosting this event in partnership with its Employee Resource Group (ERG), Biosciences Area, and the Lab Directorate. The ERG’s Executive Sponsor, Associate Lab Director Jay Keasling, will provide a welcome message, followed by an introduction to the Lambda Alliance by co-chairs Tom Gallant and Amanda Krieger. Guests will have an opportunity to learn more about Berkeley Lab’s first Workplace Gender Transition Guidelines for transgender employees, the ERG’s upcoming events and activities, as well as an informal “meet-and-greet” with members of the Lab community.
For more information, please contact Lady Idos (email@example.com) or Tom Gallant (firstname.lastname@example.org). You can also visit the Lambda Alliance website and view photos of our members raising Berkeley Lab’s Pride Flag for 2016. To learn more about ERGs, click here.
