Berkeley Lab

Special Inclusion Event – Make Your Voice Heard – July 17, 2019

Lab employees have an opportunity to make their voices heard. This Wednesday the focus is on inclusion. We’re asking you to reflect on the question, “What does inclusion mean to you?” and then anonymously share your thoughts in 10 words or less.

Date: Wednesday, July 17, 2019
Location: Cafeteria Lobby & Online
Time: 11:30 am – 1:30 pm

There are three ways to share:

  1. There will be paper and pens in the cafeteria lobby and you can write your response and stick it on the inclusion window in the lobby.
  2. On Wednesday, Poll Everywhere will be open with the same question. To participate electronically, text LABIDEA to 22333 once, then text your response.
  3. You can also go to https://pollev.com/labidea to answer the question

Comments

  1. Inclusion means treating all people – new members of a team, long-standing members – as fully and equally valued contributors and team members. It means making space for everyone to contribute according to their talents and abilities and making space for a range of perspectives to be heard/considered. Inclusion also means assuming the best about people.
