Black History Month Banner Raised by AAERG

Members of Berkeley Lab’s African American Employee Resource Group (AAERG) met on Friday, January 31st to hang the Black History Month banner near Blackberry Gate.

Black History Month is an annual celebration of achievements by African Americans and a time for recognizing the central role of blacks in U.S. history. Since 1976, every U.S. president has officially designated the month of February as Black History Month.

A banner celebrating Black History Month is unveiled in front of Building 65 along Chu Road, just past the Blackberry Gate. 01/31/2020
