Be Well at Work: New Group for Caregivers: Caregivers Connect

We recognize that as caregivers you are dealing with unique challenges at this time. Elders living alone, physical distancing, travel restrictions, and program and services closures, are only a few of the stressors caregivers face while caring for an elder during COVID 19.

Beginning in June, join the Elder Care Program for Caregivers Connect. The group will meet virtually on the first Tuesday of the month, and the third Friday of the month from 11 am -12 pm.

These small group meetings will focus on a different topic each month. The format will consist of a brief introduction by Maureen Kelly, LCSW, BWAW Elder Care Counselor, with discussion and Q & A to follow. You are welcome to drop-in for any subject of interest.

FIRST TOPIC:  Caregiver Challenges in Light of COVID 19.

DATE: Tuesday, 6/2/20 & Friday, 6/19/20

TIME: 11 am – noon

If you are interested in attending any of these ZOOM meetings, please register here.

Future topics may include:

  • Elders at risk
  • Dementia, decreasing contact, and depression
  • Emotional responses to caregiver challenges
  • Physical distancing and long distance caregiving
  • Communication challenges
  • Family support and caring alone
  • Creative caring

We hope you will consider joining us for one or more of these groups.
