Lambda Alliance Poster Session – June 3, 2021

This virtual poster session is intended as an educational experience for both presenters and attendees, as well as a celebration of Pride. The event will be hosted and organized by Berkeley Lab Lambda Alliance Employee Resource Group (ERG) and will be focused on experiences of the Sexual-orientation and Gender Minority (SGM) community and other minorities with an emphasis on intersectionality.

Poster submissions are open to the public, including but not limited to all National Lab employees, contractors, and postdocs; you can submit more than one poster, but no more than three posters per presenter. You can create posters either individually or as a group.

All poster topics should be submitted to https://bit.ly/PrideSGMPoster_Topics by May 20, 2021.

All final posters should be submitted to http://bit.ly/SGM_Poster_Submission by May 27, 2021.

Poster Guidelines: Here are a few things to keep in mind for your poster:

  • Posters should be a created using google slides or powerpoint

  • The size should be a custom 24 x 36

  • Cite your sources when relevant

  • Break up large text blocks with relevant pictures, charts, and graphs

  • Follow the template below for best results

About the venue: The event will take place in a virtual platform called Gather.Town. This virtual venue does NOT require you to sign up, you can just click on the link, and it will take you to the space. However, the space will be locked until June 1st, after which point it will be accessible through this link: https://gather.town/i/8unwOL46. Presenters will be sent instructions on where to go and how to access the venue upon submission of their poster.
